See your book list in a timeline with Readwise and Notion

I’ve shared my love for the Readwise App for Android which clearly extends to Readwise overall. Today Notion released the much anticipated Timeline feature and I have to say that my favorite use of it thus far is to see my Reading Timeline for the year. Let’s walk through how to set it up.

In Notion, find your Readwise library.

Click the “All” drop down link next to Library to open the view menu. Select “+ Add a view” from the bottom of the menu.

Click All and then click “+Add a view”

Now select the “Timeline” view option and give your timeline a name. I am going to walk through creating my 2020 book list so I used the less than creative 2020 Timeline. Click “Create”.

Create your timeline view and name it.

You’re now going to see a less than exciting timeline view that probably shows all of your books, articles and tweets in one line. It’s time to fix that.
