Start Your Day Right, Part 2 — Automating a Timer and Journaling
In the first article in this little mini series as part of the August of Automation full series, we began building a Good Morning automation by building a shortcut that allows you to have a little “Me” time before you get into the work of the day. You could customize this in a myriad of different ways. I’m going to show you what works for me and will offer some ideas on how you could customize this. As with yesterday, we’re going to build this part of our larger Good Morning automation as its own shortcut. At the end, we’ll put all of these shortcuts together into one shortcut. This specific shortcut is one of the reasons I decided to take that approach to the bigger shortcut. Depending on when I get up and how my day is structure, I can’t always take the time I want for this task first thing in the morning. So, occasionally, I’ll tell Siri, “Let’s Have Some Me Time” mid day and run just this part of my Good Morning automation again. I can do that, because it is a shortcut all on its own.
Create Your Shortcut, Name It, and Add A Comment
Hopefully by this point in the series, you’re comfortable with getting a new shortcut all set up.
